I'm a dedicated scholar-organizer living and working in ᏙᎩᏯᏍᏗ (Occupied Togiyasdi or Asheville, NC), a part of the lands of the Anikituwagi or Cherokee people.  Because I believe that scholarly research should inform policy and community needs, I've developed a unique set of skills in teaching, qualitative and historical research methods, statistics, and community organizing. Informing these skills is my work on a variety of different sociological topics - social movements, sexuality, race/whiteness, human rights, and colonialism.
